To celebrate the release of Tricks for Free, here. Have an open thread to discuss the book. Judging by the comments I’m seeing, some of you have had time, and I’d really, really rather book discussion (sometimes including spoilers) didn’t crop up on other posts.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don’t read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned. (I will not reply to every comment; I call partial comment amnesty. But I may well join some of the discussion, or answer questions or whatnot.) I will be DELETING all comments containing spoilers which have been left on other posts. No one gets to spoil people here without a label.

You can also start a discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence, since I always wind up getting involved in these things.

I am pleased that I helped to finance the bonus story :D

And even though i have already read it, it in some way makes up for the absence of the mice. I didn't realize how important they were to me until I read an installment without them.

I had some money left on a Barnes & Noble gift card someone gave me for Xmas, and I've been waiting for this since I read the last pages of Magic For Nothing... so I made a point of hitting the bookstore on Tuesday. I'm just about to start Chapter 6...

I always love seeing more gorgons, but I also really loved the expansion of the routewitch lore and that of similar types of magic. And the expansion of what happens at the Crossroads....just....I love the worldbuilding so much. And I loved seeing Antimony's story so much. Thank you.

So glad I got this through Amazon. I checked the local [likely doomed] Barnes & Noble and they'd only ordered 2 copies .. which were long gone.
