I think it tells one of the stories of why the sea became salt, but with a Fae twist. I bet it was Tybalt's fault but he won't admit it (cats never do!).

Toby will discover that her abilities as a blood worker translate very nicely to salt water (given that blood is also a salty liquid). Although it will be suggested that she should in fact use these newfound powers to reign supreme on the open ocean, she will instead do her research, discover that turning into a gigantic ocean tyrant never helps (see: Disney's "The Little Mermaid") and continue living in her apartment with May, abusing her abilities only to hijack an entire tanker full of the highest quality Columbian coffee beans.
