To celebrate the release of When Sorrows Come, here. Have an open thread to discuss the book. Judging by the comments I’m seeing, some of you have had time, and I’d really, really rather book discussion (sometimes including spoilers) didn’t crop up on other posts.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don’t read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned. (I will not reply to every comment; I call partial comment amnesty. But I may well join some of the discussion, or answer questions or whatnot.) I will be DELETING all comments containing spoilers which have been left on other posts. No one gets to spoil people here without a label.

This discussion post includes the novella, “And With Reveling,” which was released along with the paperback and eBook editions of When Sorrows Come.  It was not included with the audio edition.

I started reading Rosemary and Rue the very day When Sorrows Come was published. I find it funny that even the two-paragraph description of When Sorrows Come includes some information that is a spoiler for me. But that's what I get for being so behind the times!

My reading rate has slowed a bit of late, but I blew through the entire book, including novella, in two days. To steal a phrase that's somewhat younger than me, I have All The Feels.

It was the sequence of cameos in the wedding itself, of August, then Sylvester, then Gillian, that truly choked me up. Apparently, reconciliation is a thing for me.

I look forward to seeing the next phase.
