Because it is written in the stars that 2016 should be a month of near-constant travel, I am about to hop on yet another plane and soar off to New York, where I will do business, hug people, and oh yeah, appear at New York Comic-Con, the East Coast's Geek Prom.

So where can you find me? Other than staring longingly at the Marvel editorial team, trying to literally will them into hiring me to relaunch the X-Men?

Thursday.

Mira Grant signing, 2pm, Orbit Booth. I don't actually have booth numbers, but it will be listed in the program/exhibitor guide as either "Orbit" or "Hachette Books," and I will gleefully sign things for you. With my actual hand!

Friday.

Shipwreck, 8pm. This is a separately ticketed event, but believe me, you want to attend. Come and see several professional word people wreck a great book--in this case, The Princess Bride. Mara Wilson is our guest reader. This is also the launch for Loose Lips, the first ever Shipwreck collection. I wrote the introduction!

Saturday.

Scream Queens, 2pm, BookCon @ NYCC - 500 W 36th St. It's a Mira Grant panel, which means it's a party in a haunted house while the corn is closing in. Come for the fun, stay because we won't let you leave.

Signing, 3:15pm, BookCon @ NYCC 6th Floor autographing area. We will sign things, and probably not eat you.

Sunday.

Seanan McGuire signing, 2pm, Penguin booth. Again, I do not have booth numbers, but this one should be listed in the program book as "Penguin Random House." Come see me, and I'll congratulate you on surviving the convention!

You should come to Tampa Megacon in October. :)

Hi Seanan,

Have you ever considered coming out to Megacon in Florida?
They have two MegaCons usually One in Orlando and then one in Tampa. The Tampa one is coming up end of October.

Don't you feel the desire to go someplace nice and sunny, have some fresh gulf shrimp and a margarita?

Tempt. Tempt. Tempt....

:)
Regards,
Chuck

Right now, I am completely broke, and only attend conventions that invite me as a guest. Soooooo...has Megacon ever considered inviting me?

Actually they have been adding late guests. What the heck, I will write them and ask. You never know. :)
I will let you know if MegaCon gets back to me! Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

This will be the first convention I will be Cosplaying with my Daughter. She finally convinced me to go in costume, versus me just making her props.

P.S. I haven't read Once Broken Faith, I have been saving it for when I go to the beach next weekend. I enjoy your stuff so much, I wanted to read it as a sort of special occasion thing! I have a house across the street from the beach. If you ever want you can stay there a week on me. Might as well offer as you mentioned short-on cash. Consider this my attempt to support the arts. :)

Best Regards,
Chuck

Wrote to the Show Manager and the Programming Coordinator for MegaCon asking them to invite you. (I cribbed a bunch of stuff about you from Wikipedia). I also mentioned your FILK music, which would fit in awesome at a CON.

Please do let me know if they happen to contact you.

Fingers Crossed.
Chuck

Sigh. I dream of you writing the X-Men. That's enough to get me reading comics again.

*Bummer, but at least they were polite and responded to a fan request.* The bit about "will consider in the future" sounds hopeful though. So maybe next year. :)

Greetings Chuck,
Thank you for your suggestion and interest in our event. At this time it would be too late to invite additional guests for Tampa but we will consider Ms. McGuire in the future.

Thanks again,
James Armstrong
