The time of the Traveling Circus is almost upon us!

Lo and behold, on March 12th, we will be returning to Borderlands Books to get our Traveling Circus and Snake-Handling Show on, this time with special guest and debut author Mishell Baker joining the fun! As always, this means cupcakes during the break, and that's when you come in. Specifically...

If you are planning to attend the book event, have a dietary restriction (vegan, gluten-free, specific allergies), and would like to enjoy a cupcake, please let me know before Tuesday, March 8th. Not all dietary restrictions can be accounted for (for example, if you're gluten-sensitive to parts-per-million, the cross-contamination risk is too high for me to tell you that the cupcakes are safe; there's wheat flour in the bakery), but I can at least try. Comment here to notify me of a dietary issue.

Because there is an increased charge for vegan, dairy-free, etc., I only order cupcakes to account for dietary restrictions I have been informed of. Please do not assume that because you came to the last event, and there were vegan cupcakes, that I will automatically have vegan cupcakes. You need to tell me before I place the order if it's going to happen. (In a related note, please do not request special cupcakes if you're not sure that you're going to be there. Again, there is an increased charge for "non standard" cupcakes, and while I want to accommodate everyone, I can only afford to take care of people who will actually be attending the event.)

Hey, that's just 2 days before my birthday! Being in Florida makes my attendance extremely unlikely, but once again, have a cupcake for me. Remember, if you're having a cupcake for someone else, there are no caloric consequences for you. It's a rule.

To clarify re gluten-free stuff (since Hanna told me what you said when she saw you today ^^) based on how my siblings react, a dedicated gluten-free mixer should be enough to avoid setting me off. I even ran the setup past my sister who has celiac and is in culinary school, and she said that should be ok for me. It was super sweet of you to mention it though and double check. Thanks so much! I will be there with pumpkin bread and a picture of the new kitten. So looking forward to this!

Kitten's mom says not to arrange special cupcakes for Kitten, as they won't know whether or not they can attend until the last minute. She does greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness and efforts to accomodate special dietary needs, and asked me to pass that along.
