INDEXING: REFLECTIONS episode #7, "False Love's Kiss."

The seventh episode of Indexing: Reflections is available today*! This is your talkpost and discussion zone. There will be spoilers in the comments here. As always on talkposts, I have partial comment amnesty, and will not be responding to everything.

(*I usually wait until the episode has actually posted before opening the talkpost, but today is "Seanan goes to the salon for a full highlight and color retouch preparatory to heading for New York" day, and that means four hours away from my computer. Sometimes being a girl is both awful and expensive.)

"False Love's Kiss" is one of those episodes that was a delight to write from beginning to end. I got to play with a few stories that don't come to the party all that often, and since we're in the second half of the serial now, shit's starting to accelerate and darken. All in all, it was a good time for me. I hope it'll be one for you as well.

I am *really* loving getting the story from Sloane's POV. She's long been my favorite character and I love getting her backstory and inner thoughts. I'm beginning to like Ciara more as well.

Oh my, oh my. I wanted, so badly, to just be able to reach through the screen and give everyone a really hard shake, screaming, "That's not Henry!" Last chapter was bad enough; I could feel what was coming, the tension kept building, and when Adrianna stuck that ice dagger in Henry I actually felt a chill. But now it's worse, because I'm not sure where this is going. I think Sloane may be on the right track with the Snow Queen, she just hasn't figured out the Snow Queen is right in front of her.

Did I mention I loved this chapter? Cause I did!

Oh, and there at the end, Sloane is actually thinking about letting her fall! I was screaming inside my head, "No, if you let her die you never get Henry back!"

I love this series so much, but I think I may need to start having a good, stiff drink after each chapter.

I'm enjoying seeing Sloane's point of view. I'm still worried about Henry, but with Sloane on the job I trust that she will figure it out soon enough.

I am suddenly fantasizing about Adrianna outing herself... by misgendering Gerry. (You know she would.) The whole team freezes and Sloane just clocks her. Cue the gang standing over her comatose form going, ok, if that's not Henry, who the F is it and how do we get Henry back?

Also, is Adrianna planning on just not sleeping ever again? Because I have a feeling Henry's waiting...

(Dear lord, what does Stepsister Land look like? Please don't let Sloane go there.)
