...my love, my weeping willow tree.

This is the current shape of my 2013, with travel dates and everything. Beautiful travel dates. Hope to see you sometime in the months to come. 2014 is now half the list, July 2014 is closer to "now" than January 2013. And other horrifying thoughts. (Most horrifying of all, the first 2015 date has appeared. Gleep.)

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

Symbiogenesis
"We Both Go Down Together"
"Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway"
"Spores"
"Dark Shapes in Rendered Corners"
"Blocked"
"The Ghosts of Bourbon Street"
"IM"
"Fiber"
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
Echo
Still Catch the Tide

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

Congrats on the Hugo! And yay for a new Toby book! I've currently gotten my mom addicted to the Toby books, or rather, anything with Tybalt in it. (she's been mimicking his voice from the audiobooks when she talks to me lately, much to my amusement). I'm looking forward to the party at Borderlands - it sounds like it will be really fun!

Shiny, but no Australia...

Congratulations on the Hugo yesterday. You looked incredible in your sparkly dress!

Speaking of said sparkly dress, was this one another Sydney's Closet acquisition?

(I did keep looking at the bodice and thinking Columbia, but given our respective shadowcast histories, I suspect that was intentional.)

I was hoping you'd attend Loncon, because a WorldCon in Europe? Wohoo! \o/ Finally it's close enough for me.

Sadly it's either this or WorldCon and WorldCon wins. *gg* Though it's tempting, because Ireland.

Finding "Chimes at Midinght" on my kindle this morning was a lovely suprise. For some reason, I didn't think it was coming out until the 27th.

Well it did make working the morning Reference Desk shift a happier place. I knew I had a good book to read when I got to lunch after it was over.

Downloaded Chimes before leaving the bedroom today. I wrote to the TX con and said that if they make a profit the FIRST thing they need to do is cast and distribute the omitted Hugos. Are they running for office or something that they need to practice false economies?

Since I know (from reading your blog) that first week's sales in actual stores are important, I am heading to local Barnes & Noble on my way home.

Congratulations on the Hugo!
Yay, Parasite's out so soon! I can't wait to read it - one of the areas I enjoyed most about the Newsflesh Trilogy was the virology.

I was wondering: are you considering coming to Australia/New Zealand in the near-ish future? Though your accent would probably confuse my ears, as I read everyone in your books as speaking with an Australian accent (except for Mahir, of course!) I'd love to hear you speak/get books signed without paying exorbitant rates for postage/generally have you be within 2000km of my house. Of course, I know it's very expensive to get here, which does make things difficult, but seeing as you have a novella set here…

ETA: Sorry, but I've just noticed that dragonsally asked about Australia upstream, so apologies for the repeat.
