Cat pictures, take three.

It's been a while since I provided more of the single best accessory any blog can have: pictures of the blogger's cats. I like my cats. I find them photogenic and adorable. (Most people feel this way about their cats, but mine are Siamese, which makes them double awesome.) All of which combines to mean that it's time, once again, for that best of exercises.
Time for cat pictures.
I have two cats at present. The dominant, younger, more demonically-possessed cat is Lilly, short for Lillian Kane Moscowitz Munster Cavanaugh Sawyer McGuire. Lilly is a purebred Siamese, and is coming rapidly up on her fourth birthday. Since Siamese often live into their twenties, I'm going to be stuck with this particular kitty for a long time to come.

Lilly spends a lot of her time apparently possessed by demonic forces and possibly compelled to do their unholy bidding. This is...pretty damn normal for the Siamese, actually. They're intelligent, vocal, incredibly irritating cats. They're also my favorite cats in the entire world.

There was an accident when Lilly was less than a week old which resulted in her losing her tail about two bones from the end. This has done absolutely nothing to negatively impact her life, but it makes her look a bit like a rabbit. This is her rabbit end.

There are times when Lilly actually looks elegant, refined, and entirely deserving of her Siamese heritage. These times never last more than a few minutes. Very few.

Having a Siamese is something like having a pre-verbal toddler without thumbs. Lilly often follows me around the house going 'Mom? Mom? Mom? Mom?' in cat, just because she wants my attention.

My bedroom window is the Siamese equivalent of cable television. Lilly sits there for hours watching the outside world. (Yes, that's Princess Sparkle on the windowsill.)

Behold! The glowing eyes of evil!

Lilly likes to sit on my desk chair and watch what I'm doing. This picture gives you an excellent view of my bed, complete with cobweb Halloween pillowcase. I am such a nerd sometimes.

"Who, me? I don't know anything about it."

And now, Nyssa, my speckled mudslide kitty, being aged and elegant on the couch. She likes things that don't require her to move much. This is because she's older than some nations.

Nyssa is remarkably good at looking remarkably dubious. It's a skill that's taken her years to develop. But now she's a master.

Once upon a time, this was a laptop case. Now it's a cat bed. As the cat in question still possesses all her teeth, it's best not to argue with her about exactly who owns her favorite sleeping spot.
And that's all for today.

Date: 2008-10-19 07:42 pm (UTC)My cats like to sleep on my laptop case, too...only my laptop is still in it! I'm always finding little paw prints all over it.

Date: 2008-10-21 01:31 am (UTC)Of course, I may only think this because Lilly almost outweighs both of my cats put together.
