1. First off, for those of you who may have missed it yesterday, the cover of Ashes of Honor has been posted for your viewing pleasure. Chris McGrath has done it again, and I am totally overjoyed by the ongoing evolution of Toby. (Also by the fact that I am now six books into an urban fantasy series, and the most sexualized my protagonist has been was on the cover to book five, where she had no pants on. She was also a fish at the time. I am overjoyed.)

2. I am home from Emerald City Comic Con! Yay! I am too tired to die, and there's a very good chance that I am going to bed without any supper tonight because I will be herded by the cats (to my doom), but it was a great weekend, I got many, many hugs, and I am now safely back in the Bay Area. Life is good.

3. Welcome to all the new people who got linked here via my post on diversity in fiction! I'm thrilled that you're here, and promise not to be upset when you realize that I'm rarely that intellectual and go off to do something more useful with your time. I hope you enjoy us while you're at the party. We are already enjoying you.

4. Speaking of not being intellectual all the time...If anyone out there is collecting the blind bag My Little Pony figures, I have all of them except for the basic, non-glittery Rainbow Dash. I have many doubles I can trade, including the special edition Twilight Sparkle. Inquire within. Please.

5. Shirt post coming this week.

That is all. Now I must nap.

Hm, I have a feeling we have a Rainbow Dash somewhere. I'll check, because my kid likes Twilight best of all, especially if she's glittery.

Yay! Let me know. Since she's the only one I'm missing, it's not logical to buy any more bags; I just have to find a trade.

She hasn't made herself immediately apparent, but the ponies find their way everywhere so she might be around, or I might be confused because some days, our house appears to be generating tiny plastic animals. If she does turn up, I'll let you know!

Veeeeeeeeeery unlikely. Photo formatting is time and labor intensive, and I have other things that need doing.

I've got all of mlp blind bags (if we're talking about the same shiny dark pink/purple bags with a flying Rainbow Dash on the front - I haven't seen the other series yet), and I'd be happy to go find you a regular Rainbow Dash. I have the product key that tells you which pony is in which # bag. :) I do also have a few doubles. I think I might even have a 2nd Dash.

Edit: This little Dashie here? http://img.movoda.net/6mf55kr2.jpg
I have a double or can go find one still in bag, your choice. :)

Ooh, is there a link to the product key somewhere? As I mentioned in my comment to Seanan, I have a little girl who would be super-impressed if I managed to find a bag with a Twilight in.

Sorry for the long comment. I don't have a single link, but I typed it up in a doc in a doc (because Ponies make me smile, and goodness knows I can use some smile in my life).
The bags that are dark pink/purple/red with a flying Rainbow Dash (as opposed to just hanging out with the other ponies) on the front are as follows:

1 Pinkie Pie
2 Applejack
3 Rainbow Dash
4 Rarity
5 Twilight Sparkle
6 Fluttershy
7 Sugar Grape
8 Lily Blossom
9 Minty
10 Bumblesweet
11 Fizzypop
12 Flower Wishes
13 Roseluck
14 Sweetie Blue
15 Pepperdance
16 Lemon Hearts
17 Cherry Spices
18 Sweetie Swirl
19 Lucky Swirl
20 Sweetcream Scoops
21 Firecracker Burst
22 Glittering Pinkie Pie
23 Glittering Twilight Sparkle
34 Glittering Rainbow Dash

The number is stamped on the inside of the fold on the back of the package. I've seen some news recently that they were changing the numbering system to something more like 20415, 20425, 20435, etc., but have not been able to confirm which series of bags that is for. This series is the only one I've seen in US stores so far, but it's been a few weeks since I looked. I do have numbers for 2 other series 2 - one is more purple, and Dash is not flying, and the other bags are "Easter"-colored. The numbers for those are different.
Now that you know way more about them than you ever wanted to know, you should have good luck in finding a Twilight Sparkle. :)

I would be glad to send her to you. Please let me know where to send her by contacting me at airpeach001 at yahoo.com, or however would be easiest for you.

In an unrelated "hee hee," I went to brunch w/friends this past Sunday. The restaurant, Hudson (on College Ave. in Oakland), had a cocktail special that appealed to me. It had gin, lime juice, cassis and something else. I was told by the bartender who'd come over to tell us about it that it was named the "Morning Edition," to which I asked like a smarty-pants, "Is that 'mor' or 'mour'?" She laughed and went away. I liked it enough to get two. So the bill came and ...

I don't have photos (no haz camera), but Discount Armageddon has several copies in the Horror section at The Elliott Bay Book Company. I find this odd, considering that I had to special order my copy for the release week, but it's there, and facing out.

(also...horror? Really?)

I bought several of those little figures this week, on a whim. Am trying to tell myself I shouldn't buy more.

Of course, I've also been telling myself I have no room to start refurbishing old ponies into unique new ones...
