Uneventful trip, concluding in cats.

Vixy and Fishy delivered me to the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport approximately ninety minutes before my flight today. There was no line at the Virgin America counter, and effectively no line at security, allowing me to sail straight on through to the concourse. Once there, I checked the airport Borders for Rosemary and Rue (no luck) and checked the airport Wendy's for a vanilla Frosty (lots of luck). Boarding happened on time and in an orderly manner. I got my standard window seat, complete with my standard Grumpy Tall Guy Who Didn't Book Early Enough and Got Stuck in the Middle, and Sullen Girl on the Aisle Who Doesn't Understand Why We Need to Pee. Good times were had by all.

The in-flight entertainment allowed me to watch Eureka returns while I worked on The Brightest Fell (now through chapter twelve). I adore my Netbook, it allows me to actually work on planes, rather than pretending to work until I want to stab the person reclining their seat onto my laptop with a plastic swizzle stick, then sleeping bitterly. Sure, I'm a lot more tired when I reach my destination, but wow, do I get a lot of work done.

Seeing the reports of where Rosemary has been seen continues to absolutely delight me; thank you so much for the pictures and for sharing. And now I shall bow to the demands of my cats and go to bed, before they decide to take matters into their own paws and force the issue.

It constantly amazes me how much work I can get done while in transit (provided that I have enough space to work, of course). I guess it has to do with the relative lack of distractions and the enforced time sitting. I'm told that historically prisons and lighthouses had a similar effect.

I do some of my best work on airplanes. I also get some of my best sleep on airplanes. Sometimes it's difficult to decide which I need more.

I went looking today at the Borders in Fremont about a mile from home, and lo, there it was in the sci fi fantasy section, with book cover turned out and visible near the bottom of the shelf (due to where McGuire falls in the alphabet and their shelving units). And of course I bought one. Love the opening chapter and got sucked in thoroughly since. :)

You are for real and true, dear. There it is on the shelves in Fremont, of all places. :) So.Very.Cool.

Hi, new reader here. I was in my local SF Borders looking for another book (no luck, dash it all), when I happened across your book. The name and cover caught my eye, but what made it a sale for me was the fairies. I've decided that I'm over Vampires and Werewolves for the time being, so fairies are the new "it" thing for me. The blurb sounded interesting, so in a move that's so unlike me, I bought "Rosemary and Rue" without knowing anything but the title and the blurb. I picked it up on Friday, and I'm already at page 180. I don't want to put it down. So engrossing. I love it.

Spotted, and promptly purchased, at a Barnes & Noble in Boulder, CO. Sunday the 23rd, round about three.

Fourteen copies (thirteen once I had snagged mine). _Three_ rows of which were facing out, on two shelves. Pretty good exposure.

Bought it, took it home, devoured it. Review here. Immediately lent to a friend so that he can read it.

Well done. Also, I squee'd like a twelve-year-old upon spotting it., Er, hai!
