I'm not going to read the sample chapters. Why? Because I know that if I do, when I get to the end, I will log out, get in my car, drive to Seanan's house and whine until I score an ARC to read the rest of it.

Pretty much the same reason I handed back the ARC at BayCon after reading one page; that was a much as I could do without going all Gollum on it and trotting away whining "my precioussss" to read it all.

I could tell it was good stuff. I won't start again until I can read to the end.

Cagney. I've heard that names before. It was the name of Eliza Moza's cat in the TV show Gargoyles.

I would like to know the origin of the name, if you don't mind sharing it. As a side note, I pay WAY too much attention to details. This is why I'm an editor, and also why my manuscript writing has been on hold for several months while I Research.
