I suspect that what happened is, Carabelle Miller, a young woman with the unfortunate legal name of Scott, and more unfortunately the hardware to match the legal name, was in a popular amusement park and in a moment of real, innocent belief, wished to be a real princess and honestly, truly believed it could happen. So it did. And princesses are girls, so she was.
Which makes a pretty poor argument against latchkey and television parenting, I'm afraid. But you can't get everything.
