I don't know when I read my first Stephen King; I do know that my mom gave me Thinner at the age of fourteen or thereabouts with the comment that this was also Stephen King. He always seemed to me to be one of the perpetual storyteller kind of writers, the one who always had something new to say. Good, good stuff. (It and The Stand are on my permanent bookshelf.)
