Because I'm not caught up on my reading yet.
I only read 7 books published in 2011, during 2011. I have managed to read 2 more this month (and hope to finish a third before the month is over.) I have 3 more in the ToBeRead pile, and 4 more on interlibrary loan request.
I still have 2 months to become "well read" before my nomination is due and I plan on giving it my best shot.
