Item the second: this has literally been sitting in my link soup for a year, waiting for me to find something that makes it topical. Item the third: while I'm linking to random crap that makes me smile, here. Have the Animal Review review of the deep sea anglerfish. They give the anglerfish an overall F for being horrifying and upsetting and not really very friendly at all. Amusingly enough, these are all the reasons I give the anglerfish an overall A. For AWESOME.

Item the fourth: I can't remember if I ever actually linked to these, despite their being, you know, mad awesome, so here. The icons, which are by snowishness, cannot help but make me happy, and so I am sharing them with you.

Item the sixth: I managed to find the Dead Tired Frankie Stein doll last night, which means a) I now have all the individual Dead Tired dolls except for Cleo De Nile, who I'm hoping to find this weekend, b) everyone at my local Toys R Us knows me on sight, and c) I am a total nerd. I am, thus far, a total nerd who has managed to resist the lure of the ball-jointed Soom doll, however, so I'm calling this a win for me, even as I call it a loss for my shelf space.

Item the seventh: I am so tired it physically hurts. I have to sleep tonight, or I'm just going to dissolve off my own bones like an overcooked chicken or one of those airline passengers in the first episode of Fringe. I didn't sleep at all on Tuesday night, and last night was our first really hot night of the summer, so the cats kept waking me up to freak out. Please play nicely today, as I may start to tremble and cry otherwise.

Also, I'm a bit jealous of your dolls. I can't bring myself to buy more than one of each character of the Monster Highs, but I really want their outfits. (Maybe I'll get more when I go through my custom doll backlog -- I already need a Lagoona that's not the original, since I bought the original for customization, so still have her clothing.)

I started reading Deadline and it is all kinds of awesome. I managed to pick up a copy during my work-and-personal travelling (12 states, 10 days).

Baltimore-Washington International - Feed and Late Eclipses faced out in Science Fiction, but no Deadline.

At 3:45AM this Monday someone in the parking lot of suburban/ruralish apartment complex very, very loudly informed the cops that "You ain't got nuthin'!" You ain't got no fuckin' evidence! You ain't got no fuckin' witnesses! Fuck you! Fuck you all!"... repeatedly, till they proved that apparently not having 'no fuckin' witnesses' or 'no fuckin' evidence' does not mean you won't get your ass hauled off.

Every day since I've been waking up at about 3:40AM (instead of 5:10 when my alarm is set for) and I wish it would stop.

I'm eye aching tired.

I so undersand the tireds.

So far the only good thing about this, is that my cat Shiro will come over when I wake up and pat me on the face to reassure me. He's a very sweet kitty.

It's firework season here in upstate NY. Yes, fireworks ARE illegal in NY, in fact, why do you ask?

Our neighbors set off loud fireworks and firecrackers in the street from about 8 PM every night to 10 PM, unless it's raining. The cats then slink off to find somewhere The Big Boom can't get them.

Meanwhile, my results for 2 weeks into my CPAP machine ownership are "beautiful," according to the nice medical professional I spoke with earlier today who looked over my results. She said she wished everyone used mine as diligently as I did. I can't imagine going through all those tests and waiting and getting a $1500 piece of equipment just to not use it.

Pregnancy is turning me into the honey badger. And they poked my placenta to take a sample for SCIENCE today. Thus I am missing Faerieworlds.

Most of my family has read Deadline now. The last likely victim is my teenager, who graduated last weekend and is taking Deadline as her read-on-the-plane book to go visit her Other Family.

Does people telling you to "write faster" make you as crazy as it makes me? I swear to god I need that machete for people who leave reviews at fanfiction.net that only say "Update soon". On days I've posted two chapters. What are people thinking?

I had been under the impression the shotgun was the traditional anti-zombie weapon because of its availability, rather than its utility.

I'd rather have the pack of velociraptors on my side though. In fact, I liked the idea so much I wrote a series of drabbles about it (http://vincentursus.livejournal.com/tag/zombies%20vs.%20velociraptors).
