Ah, jeez. Yeah, I remember thinking, "Are you claustrophobic?" was a really ominous question to ask at the second sleep study, where they tested what my CPAP level should be.
My mask is the "nasal pillows," because my nose ridge pretty much guarantees that the kind that cover my face would lead to my having a friction sore on my nose all the time. So instead, I have friction burns on my nostrils, and I need to pick up some water-based lubricant for non-fun purposes so they can heal.
My sleep center is really supportive and good with the follow-up, though. If the machine wasn't working out, for whatever reason, I could've handed it back today, and they gave me a number to call if I ever realize I won't use it, or if there's anything wrong with it. Granted, my insurance company would be grumpy if I did that, but at least then I wouldn't have an expensive piece of medical equipment gathering dust in my closet.
