I think its ridiculously cool that you still work full-time and ppl don't know you're an amazing (and relatively well-known!) writer. It's like you have a super secret super identity.

Are they good at giving you time off for your writing obligations, like press tours or anything? Or for when you went to the Hugo Awards?
