Links eat world: giving Mira her moment.
My link file isn't "out of control," it's totally in control...of everything. Including, possibly, the laws of physics. Here is a ten-link roundup focusing on Mira and Mira's books, to try and get the file back down to size. Not that it's going to work.
SF Signal has posted an excellent review of Feed, and says, "With a narrative that speaks to the reader you are drawn into a world of the future that seems so plausible it may have you looking up Doctor Kellis and checking the existence of the filovirus Marburg EX19, just to make sure you don’t need to stock up on ammo and blood testing units. It's zombies, bloggers, politics, technology and medical revolutions all mixed into a bloody cocktail and poured for your enjoyment. Beware of snarky dialogue that will make you smirk." Excellent.
Hey, I participated in a zombie round table at Tor.com roughly a million years ago. Have a look. There are some smart people saying stuff over here.
Oh, and hey, Book Yurt interviewed both of me at once. That takes guts, and should be rewarded. You know. With clicking.
Journal Stone has posted a review of Feed, and says, "Feed is what mass-market commercial fiction strives to be above all things: entertaining. It has intrigue, action, family bonds, blogging, and zombies. What else is there?" Hee.
Vampire Book Club has also posted a review of Feed, and says, "Shocking and sad moments are peppered throughout this novel, and both are handled with grace, honesty and a realism that can be a bit haunting." This makes me happy.
Ramblings of a Teenage Novelist has posted a review of Feed, and says, "A well-written, well-thought-out book by a great author about great characters. What more could you ask for? One of the best books I've read this year." This makes me happy, too.
Now we move on a bit, for Stellar Four has posted a review of Deadline. This review inevitably contains Feed spoilers, and says, "Deadline features a compelling conspiracy, tense action sequences and a brazen, jaw-dropping ending that will have you asking when the final book comes out. For the record, Blackout is due in May 2012. Here's hoping the zombies don't rise up prior to that date; I absolutely need to read the conclusion of this saga, and I think you will, too." Rise up while you can!
Zombie Theology (how great a name is that?) has posted a review of Feed, and says, "Toward the end of the book the story was so intense that I couldn’t read fast enough. I think that is a good sign that I was into the book at that point! I liked the characters, the plot, the dialogue, and the underlying messages about truth and control and oppression and fear. It was a really good, easy, read. Not too gory or disturbing (not that I consider those to be bad things), definitely a good book to help step into the zombie genre." I'm a gateway!
Obligatory LJ review!
calico_reaction has posted a, well, reaction and also a lovely, detailed review of Deadline. She is critical, fair, balanced, and fascinating to read, as always; there aren't any really good pull quotes, but you should read the whole review. Seriously.
And here's number ten: Cyber Bookworm posted a review of Deadline, and says, "Zombies and blogging—this book is geek heaven." Okay, works for me!
More to come. Much, much more.
