* hard to tell with about borderline predators/omnivores - I think it would depend on their how quick their lifecycle was, and how agile they were at avoiding the larger animals that did zombify. If there are zombie animals running around looking to infect/eat the living, it's going to have a huge impact on the ecology - zombie animals are going to be pretty darn good predators with the whole not needing to sleep/injuries not being as dehabiliating.
